Some of these stories were written years before he ever wrote a novel. In some tales, those familiar with his Sarah Roberts Series may notice an earlier version of that storyline developing.
The stories include:
-A man sees the future in a freak occurrence and saves the lives of people he was connected to for several decades but didn’t know they existed.
-A 911 call taker receives a request for help that mystifies her, because it’s her own emergency.
-A woman suffering from face blindness (prosopagnosia) is robbed and can’t identify the culprit.
-A man is lost in the woods on a wintry night, close to hypothermia, only to be carried to safety by someone who has been dead for years.
-A man’s terminally ill mother attends his wedding, but once everything is over, he learns that his sick mother had succumbed to her illness the night before and there’s a price—one he will have to pay.
